David Beckham and Jason Kreis get personal on the pitch

The fast-and-furious action between the Galaxy and Real Salt Lake was hardly confined to the game.

Afterward, Galaxy star and icon David Beckham got into a testy confrontation with Jason Kreis, the manager of Real Salt Lake on Saturday night at the Home Depot Center. Beckham pointed a finger right at Kreis. There was some chest puffing, nothing overly physical and words thrown back and forth after the Galaxy’s 2-1 win.

Luckily, two players from Real Salt Lake City -- Ned Grabavoy, a former Galaxy player, and Nick Rimando -- stepped in before matters escalated.

‘Apparently he [Beckham] thinks he is the only one who can yell at referees,’ Kreis told the Salt Lake Tribune. ‘He wanted to continue [the discussion] after the game.’
