UCLA football: Kicker Kip Smith not in uniform for Texas game

Kip-smith_300 UCLA kicker Kip Smith is not in uniform during warmups for Saturday's game against Texas.

Smith sat out practice this week with an injured hip flexor. Coach Rick Neuheisel said Smith "would be fine" and would be "available" for the game.

Punter Jeff Locke is expected to handle field goals and points after touchdown. Tyler Gonzalez, the team manager for the UCLA soccer team, is in uniform and warming up.

Smith made both his field-goal attempts against San Jose State on Sept. 10.
