‘Raucous welcome’ for Jordan Farmar in Israel

Former Lakers and UCLA guard Jordan Farmar of the New Jersey Nets is creating excitement in Israel after arriving earlier this week to play for Maccabi Tel Aviv as the NBA lockout continues.

According to the Jerusalem Post, Farmar received a ‘raucous welcome’ from fans on Thursday.

Farmar, 24, who was the Los Angeles City Section player of the year during his high school days at Woodland Hills Taft and is Jewish, has traveled to Israel previously.
