Huntington Beach Ocean View’s Hagen Danner struck out 12 and homered to lead his team to a 2-0 win over Clinton County, Pa., the hometown favorite, in an elimination game Thursday night at Lamade Stadium.

Danner’s home run in the top of the third was the first homer of the series for Ocean View, the West region representative, which had lost, 1-0, to the Northwest team from Billings, Mont., on Wednesday night. Ocean View will get a second chance at Montana on Saturday in the U.S. championship game.
