Amy Cozad of Indianapolis qualified first for the women's platform finals at the AT&T National Diving Championships at UCLA's Spieker Aquatics Center on Wednesday night with a score of 328.10 and Brittany Viola, daughter of former major league pitcher Frank Viola, qualified third. Gracia Leydon-Mahoney of Newton, Mass., was second.

Cosima Lenz of Altadena, who will be a sophomore at Northwestern, made the finals, finishing in 11th place. Haley Ishimatsu of Seal Beach, who was on the 2008 U.S. Olympic team on both the platform and sychnronized 10-meter events, finished 13th, one spot out of the 12-woman finals, which will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

This was Ishimatsu's first national meet of the year after she concentrated on her freshman year at Duke. Haley and her sister Tory will compete in the synchronized finals at 7 p.m. Thursday.  The women's 1-meter finals are at 6 p.m.
