After a dismal two-win 2010 season, good for last place in the Pac-10, Washington State Coach Paul Wulff is hoping that a more explosive offense can carry the Cougars up the standings.

“We’re a lot more physical on the offensive line,” he said. “We’re athletic. We’re experienced.

“All those ingredients are going to equate to higher productivity.”

Wulff said the performance he saw in spring football were better than any he has seen before and, thus, he is excited for the season opener against Idaho State on Sept. 3.

“I think you’re going to see a pretty explosive offense in the fall,” he said.
