Hope Solo, Abby Wambach kick balls into cabs with David Letterman [Video]

U.S. women's soccer team members Hope Solo and Abby Wambach showed a playful side Tuesday night on the "Late Show With David Letterman," joining the talk show host in attempting to kick soccer balls into New York City cabs.

Goalkeeper Solo showed some attitude when Letterman asked if she could shoot, but backed it up by successfully blasting a ball into the open door of a moving cab.

Before heading outside for the taxicab shootout, both players joined Letterman in the studio for a lengthy interview. Solo made reference to the "dubious refereeing" in the U.S. team's Women's World Cup quarterfinal match with Brazil but also told a touching story about her friendship with Aya Miyama of Japan's team, which defeated the U.S. in the World Cup final.

But Wambach had the best line of the night. After Letterman teased her about possible brain damage from heading the ball, she said about her dramatic game-tying goal against Brazil: "That moment was just so amazing. Being dumber for that moment is OK in my book."
