Mark Bell is a former No. 8 overall pick that never seemed to reach his full potential. He has been out of the NHL since 2008 but will attempt a comeback as a member of the Ducks.

The team on Wednesday announced the signing of the veteran forward to a one-year contract.

Bell scored 182 points in 445 career games, playing for Chicago, San Jose and Toronto. He went on to play one season in the AHL before spending the past two years with Kloten in Switzerland’s top league.
