Rebilas / US Presswire Gaby Sanchez may not be the biggest name on the National League All-Star team. But few players are being covered in greater depth than the Florida Marlins' first baseman.

Sanchez's wife Judy, a former sportswriter with the Miami Herald, is writing a behind-the-scenes blog from Phoenix tracking her husband's daily activities.

A sample: "There was a major logistics issue involving transportation and, post-[Home Run] Derby, there were no taxis or cars for the players to take back to the hotel. After 30 minutes of waiting out in the scorching heat, we were all shuffled onto a bus. So, Cliff Lee, Joey Votto, Jered Weaver and a bunch of other guys are all riding on this hot bus like they're on an elementary school field trip. Still, no complaints. Everyone is still all smiles and just seems very happy to be involved in the festivities." "It’s a great experience to be able to share with her. And with my mom and dad, my brother," Sanchez said. "It’s a special thing. Who knows how many other times you’re going to come this way?"

It's not just a family affair for Sanchez, though, since Ryan Braun, his college roommate at the University of Miami, is also on the National League team.
