The 1980 Wimbledon final pitting Bjorn Borg against John McEnroe is one of the most famous tennis matches of all time.

Having lost the opening set, 6-1, Borg took the next two 7-5, 6-3 and had two match points at 5-4 in the fourth. But McEnroe held him off and went on to send the set to a tiebreak, which he won 18-16 (saving five more match points in the process). But Borg’s will to win was too much to overcome, with the Swedish star winning the fifth set, 8-6, for his fifth straight Wimbledon title.
