Real-life Iron Man to attempt flight through Grand Canyon

Swiss daredevil Yves Rossy has already flown his homemade jet-propelled wingsuit over the Swiss Alps and across the English Channel. Now the real-life Iron Man is hoping to soar through the Grand Canyon.

Rossy, 51, plans to jump from a helicopter near Eagle Point early Friday and fly westward along the canyon's rim, his team said Wednesday.

Although he has had previous successes with his suit, Rossy failed in an attempt to cross the Strait of Gibraltar from Morocco to Spain.
