L.A. Fire Department officials confirmed that they dispatched an ambulance to the rehearsal studios and that Johnson was taken out on a stretcher. She was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure to assure that she is OK.

Ward has been blogging for The Times every Wednesday on his experiences competing on the show.
