HBO's 'Real Sports' explores the world of mini-cheerleading [Video]

April 19, 2011 | 11:17 am

HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" turns its eye toward the world of competitive mini-cheerleading Tuesday at 10 p.m. Pacific time, and if you are like me, you will be left with a couple of questions after watching the video preview below.

There are parents who let their kids (you have to be under the age of 9) do this? And they sleep at night? And if kids miss a practice, they have to do 500 push-ups? And this teaches them what, other than men will cheer for you if you dance around in skimpy outfits?

Other than that though, mini-cheerleading seems great. Can't wait to sign my daughters up.
