Clippers: Rookie guard Eric Bledsoe suspended

April 9, 2011 |  1:35 pm

Eric-bledsoe_300 Rookie point guard Eric Bledsoe will be suspended for one game for violating a team rule, but Clippers Coach Vinny Del Negro declined to specify the infraction, saying he wanted to "keep it internal."

"You have to have things you are firm on," Del Negro said in a phone interview from Houston before Saturday night's game against the Rockets. "There are certain things that have to be abided by and this is how we are going to do things. You have to have standards, rules."

It sounded as though a wider message was being sent, beyond Bledsoe, regarding professionalism.

"This is a job," Del Negro said. "We have a lot of young players and you've got to do it the right way."
