UCLA football: Frank Gansz Jr. leaves staff, Angus McClure is reassigned

Ucla Frank Gansz Jr. has stepped down as UCLA's special teams coach and will be replaced by Angus McClure.

Gansz was at UCLA for three seasons and helped develop kicker Kai Forbath, who won the Lou Groza Award  in 2009. Gansz is being considered for a spot at SMU, among other schools, according to a person familiar with the situation who was not authorized to speak on the subject.

McClure has been UCLA’s on-campus recruiting coordinator the last three seasons. He was a UCLA assistant coach in 2007.
