'Talkin' Baseball' to be honored by Hall of Fame
Thirty years ago singer/composer Terry Cashman displayed his love for the national pastime with his song, "Talkin' Baseball."
Now baseball is showing its love for Cashman and his composition, with the Hall of Fame planning to honor the song and its writer during induction weekend this summer.
The 69-year-old Cashman will perform the ballpark anthem, which pays homage to the sport and some of its all-time greats, during ceremonies on July 23, the day before Roberto Alomar, Bert Blyleven and Pat Gillick are inducted.
Last year, John Fogerty and his tune "Centerfield" became the first singer and song to receive such treatment during the festivities.
