So much for the rematch with Angels -- Joe Saunders is out sick

The Angels were looking forward to seeing former teammate Joe Saunders on the mound again when the Arizona Diamondbacks paid a visit to Tempe on Friday. But Arizona scratched the left-hander because of illness.

Probably has nothing to do with the four runs Saunders allowed in the third inning of his last start against the Angels or his 15.88 spring ERA in 5 2/3 innings.

Left-hander Wade Miley will start in Saunders’ place.
