Manchester United will be the opponent in Major League Soccer's July All-Star match

Ferg_600 Manchester United, currently chasing a trio of trophies, will provide the opposition on July 27 when Major League Soccer stages its annual All-Star match at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J.

Coach Alex Ferguson's team is on course to win the English Premier League and has reached the semifinals of the English F.A. Cup and the quarterfinals of the European Champions League.

Last year, Manchester United defeated the MLS All-Stars, 5-2, in front of more than 70,000 at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

July's match will be shown live on ESPN2 and Galavision and, if United brings them, should feature the likes of Wayne Rooney, Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov.

Although nothing has been announced, it is possible that the all-star game could be part of a multigame North American tour by Manchester United.
