Taking a leap: Wilt Chamberlain appears to cover half the court as he stretches to save the ball from going out of bounds on April 18, 1972 at the Forum in Inglewood.

The former Lakers player was one of the team’s tallest, standing at 7 feet one inch. However, the tallest Lakers ever was Chuck Nevitt (1984-1986), who stood at 7 feet 5 inches.
