Sandra Gal played her first nervous hole of the day, missing the green with her drive on the par-three 13th hole during the final round of the Kia Classic at the Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms. Her chip was about eight feet away and then she had to watch her playing partner, Jiyai Shin, knock her drive to within about six feet and make the birdie putt with authority.

Gal knew she needed to make her par putt to hang on to the lead but pulled it left. So the two-shot swing leaves Gal, who is looking for her first LPGA Tour win, tied with Shin at 14 under. Gal had been holding that two-shot advantage since the eighth hole.

And Gal’s approach into the 14th hole is off into the gallery while Shin has given herself another birdie putt. Momentum has truly swung.
