Ducks shoot down Rangers, 5-2

Winger Bobby Ryan had a goal and three assists and defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky and winger Corey Perry each contributed two goals and an assist as the Ducks inched within two points of eighth place Wednesday with a 5-2 victory over the New York Rangers at Honda Center.

The triumph gave them a record of 11-6-1 against the East in their final non-conference game of the season. They will play their final 15 games against West rivals, including nine against Pacific division foes.

Goaltender Dan Ellis made 30 saves as the Ducks won for the fourth time in five games and remained very much a force in the remarkably tight West playoff scramble.

Visnovsky has five goals and eight points in his last four games.
