When Lakewood High lineman Torian White announced he would attend, it continued a trend.

Trojans Coach Lane Kiffin and recruiting coordinator Ed Orgeron were aghast that the previous staff had signed only three offensive linemen in the last two classes. So they made the position group a priority.

White, who had verbally committed to UCLA, is the sixth offensive lineman to sign on with the Trojans. He joins Cody Temple, Aundrey Walker, Cyrus Hobbi and JC transfers Jeremy Galten and David Garness, who enrolled in January.

The Trojans also are hoping to sign Crenshaw High’s Marcus Martin, who had made a verbal commitment to USC.
