UCLA's John Savage gets contract extension through 2015

Forget about those rumors of UCLA baseball Coach John Savage getting wooed back to USC, where he once was an assistant coach.

UCLA announced on Tuesday that Savage has agreed to a contract extension through the 2015 season.

Savage is in his seventh season with the Bruins, and this year's team, which opens play on Friday, is considered one of the favorites to contend for a national championship.
