UCLA football: Seto expected to be hired as UCLA defensive coordinator

Rocky Seto is expected to be hired as UCLA defensive coordinator.

A UCLA official said Tuesday that no one had been hired, but people close to Seto who were not authorized to speak on the subject said it was a “done deal.”

Seto, an assistant coach with the Seattle Seahawks, is expected to be offered the job once approval works its way through UCLA channels.

Seto spent last season as the defensive quality control coach with the Seahawks and was promoted to assistant secondary coach in January. He was USC’s defensive coordinator in 2009 and then followed Trojans Coach Pete Carroll to Seattle. Seto was USC’s secondary coach from 2006 to '08 and linebacker coach from 2004 to '07.
