UCLA basketball: X-ray on Lazeric Jones' left wrist is negative

Jones_200 The morning got off to a good start for UCLA after a preliminary X-ray on junior guard Lazeric Jones' sprained left wrist was negative.

Jones injured the wrist in the second half of the Bruins' 64-50 victory over USC on Wednesday night when he tried to dunk over two Trojans and landed on the area. He remained in the game and had nine points, five rebounds and five assists in 33 minutes.

UCLA (15-7) will play host to St. John's (13-8) on Saturday morning in former Bruins coach Steve Lavin's return to Westwood. The game will be nationally televised at 10 a.m. PST on Channel 2.
