Super Bowl ads: That extra something that makes the Super Bowl great

Sure, the Super Bowl is always fun to watch (except for that barnburner in ’90), but what about those all-American reminders of capitalism we call Super Bowl commercials?

It’s our annual update on all things related to cars, beer, corn chips and Danica Patrick. Without the expensive ads, the Super Bowl wouldn’t have that extra something that makes it a uniting force among die-hard fans and the football ignorant.

So if you’re the kind of person who loves watching replays of commericals you just saw on television, be sure to stop by the Fabulous Forum once the game gets underway. We’ll be posting and rating many of the commericals right after they air during the Super Bowl.

And here’s something that will hold you over in the meantime (my early favorite for best Super Bowl ad of the year):

I always pictured Darth Vader driving a German car, but I think he’d look better in a Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series or this thing.
