Super Bowl ads: Chrysler gives some love to Detroit

Car companies flexing their patriotic muscles has been a common theme among this year’s Super Bowl ads, but Chrysler blew it away with their third quarter ad promoting their straight-out-of-Detroit legacy.

With Eminem behind the wheel, Chrysler reminded viewers that its cars are built in Detroit, giving some much-needed love to the Motor City. But what’s up with Eminem? Does he need money or does he really cruise 8 Mile in a Chrysler 200?

It was the most dramatic -- and cinematic -- commercial of the Super Bowl so far (sorry, Motorola).

Chrysler isn’t the only foreign-owned car company to promote its American credentials. BMW also highlighted how many of its vehicles are made in the U.S.

But what’s up with Adrien Brody? First ‘Predators’ and now bad beer commercials? It’s gone all downhill since ‘The Darjeeling Limited.’
