Recruiting: Troy Niklas picks Notre Dame
Notre Dame has outdueled USC for Anaheim Servite lineman Troy Niklas, the Los Angeles Times' lineman of the year.
Niklas, a two-way starter for the Pac-5 champion Friars, had wanted to go to Stanford but, due to academics, looked at other schools.
Notre Dame made a big recruiting push for him and gets the premier lineman in Southern California.
