Northern Trust Open: Rain has stopped, Couples birdies
The sudden squall has passed and Fred Couples just birdied the par-five 11th hole. Couples, playing in his 29th Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club, is tied for second with Kevin Na at nine-under par.
The pro-Couples crowd (those that didn't abandon the wet ship during the rain shower) exploded with noise when Couples sank his birdie putt.
Aaron Baddeley of Australia is leading at 10-under. Baddeley bogeyed the 11th and Na bogeyed the par-four 12th hole, which is playing tougher than any so far during the tournament.
