Northern Trust Open: Fred Couples bogeys as rain moves in

It has started raining hard at Riviera Country Club during the third round of the Northern Trust Open. The wind is also gusting and Fred Couples, who was the second-round leader and is a big crowd favorite, has opened his back nine with a bogey five on the 10th hole to fall three shots behind leader Aaron Baddeley of Australia.

Kevin Na of Rancho Cucamonga has birdied three straight holes to go 10-under and hold sole possession of second place, one shot behind Baddeley.

The leader in the clubhouse, which could matter now that the weather is turning bad, is another Aussie, Stuart Appleby, who is at four-under 209 for his three rounds.
