Australian Aaron Baddeley shot a four-under-par 67 on Saturday at Riviera Country Club to take a one-shot lead over Fred Couples and Kevin Na after three rounds of the Northern Trust Open.

Baddeley is at 10-under 203 for the tournament.

Couples, 51, who had led by two after the second round, just missed a 25-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole that would have pushed him into a tie for the lead. His one-under 70 on Saturday gives him the chance to become only the third three-time winner of this tournament (Ben Hogan and Arnold Palmer are the others).

Tied with Couples is 27-year-old Kevin Na, who went to Diamond Bar High School. Na, who hasn’t won yet on the PGA Tour, also shot 67 Saturday.

Also shooting 67 on Saturday was 48-year-old veteran Vijay Singh, who is in fourth place, two shots behind Baddeley.
