A year ago, pitcher Adam Plutko led Glendora High to the Southern Section Division 2 baseball championship. He turned down the Houston Astros to enroll at UCLA, and on Sunday, he made an impressive college debut.

Plutko threw six shutout innings while allowing two hits and striking out six to help UCLA defeat San Francisco, 3-0, and complete a three-game sweep of the Dons. UCLA pitchers allowed one unearned run in 27 innings.
