UCLA lost out on two top recruits who had the Bruins as a finalist.

St. Augustine (Fla.) Menendez linebacker Tony Steward chose Clemson, and Las Vegas Bishop Gorman defensive tackle Jalen Grimble selected Miami.

Steward also considered Florida State. He is rated the top outside linebacker in the nation by Rivals.com. Grimble, who originally committed to USC, is ranked 20th among defensive ends by Rivals.com.
