USC football: Matt Barkley reflects on trip to Nigeria

With USC home for the holidays because of NCAA sanctions that banned the Trojans from participating in a bowl game, quarterback Matt Barkley and his family traveled to Nigeria, where they offered volunteer assistance at an orphanage and other locales.

"Two years ago after graduating high school early, I did a similar trip when I went to South Africa over Christmas break, so I had some experience doing this," Barkley said on the school's website. "This past summer, when USC got sanctioned by the NCAA, we thought a great way to go do something as a family over the holidays was another such trip."

USC posted a slide show and video that Barkley produced from the trip.

It can be viewed by clicking here.
