UCLA football: Sean Sheller granted sixth year of eligibility

UCLA offensive lineman Sean Sheller has been granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA.

Sheller started 11 games at left tackle in 2010, missing one game after failing a drug test. He sat out the 2008 season with knee and ankle injuries suffered in an ATV accident and missed the 2006 season due to a knee injury.

The Bruins will have two returning starters from 2010 on the offensive line, Sheller and tackle Mike Harris. Center Kai Maiava, who started 12 games in 2009, is also returning after missing last season following ankle surgery. Sheller is expected to move to guard for this coming season.

Jeff Baca, a starter in 2009, will get the first shot at left tackle. Baca was academically ineligible last season.
