Remember back in 2007, when brothers Scott and Rob Neidermayer got to share the experience of winning the Stanley Cup as members of the Ducks? That was pretty cool, wasn’t it?

What? Oh, did I write ‘Neidermayer?’ Whoops, silly me. Of course, I’m talking about Scott and Rob Niedermayer.

Apparently it’s a pretty easy mistake to make. Rob Niedermayer, currently a member of the Buffalo Sabres, recently played three straight games with his name spelled ‘Neidermayer’ on the back of his jersey. No one caught the rather prominent typo -- not even Niedermayer himself.

‘I didn’t even notice, to be honest with you,’ Niedermayer said. ‘I’ll have to remedy that.’

According to Yahoo Sports, there was a nameplate error on the alternate jersey that the Sabres were wearing for the end of the first half of the season. It has since been fixed.

Niedermayer had 56 goals and 68 assists in five-plus seasons with the Ducks.
