First off, the rare missed dunk had to be addressed.

Blake Griffin did miss one -- yes, it’s true -- in the fourth quarter of the Clippers’ 103-88 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday night.

‘I wasn’t happy about that. I tried to mask that with a smile,’ he deadpanned. ‘You know it happens. And thankfully, luckily we were up and it didn’t matter. But still it’s never something I want to do.’

Griffin on the collective effort: ‘Whenever everybody plays like that, we’re tough to stop. It’s like a pick your poison type of situation. At any given point, any guy is going to score. It’s fun to play like that.’

Griffin on his reverse pivot, spinning 360-degree layup:

‘After I spun off my man, I saw somebody else come. I didn’t see who it was. I just saw his feet. So I just tried to jump into him and turn and get a shot off.’

Randy Foye, who had a season-high 21 points, unleashed about a 60-foot lob, which Griffin converted for one of his signature dunks

‘It was crazy,’ said Griffin. ‘I didn’t think he was going to throw it. But he did. And he put it right on the money and made it easy for me. I’m sure they can (go back farther.) The easy part is just catching and dunking. I’m sure those guys can go even farther and farther back.’

Said Foye: ‘I just give all the credit to Blake. I just threw the ball up to open space. Just throw it up, loft it really high and let him go get it. For him, it is (easy.) But for everybody else, 99 percent of us....’

Foye thought for a second about a name for Griffin’s spin move.

‘Tasmanian Devil, something like that,’ he said.
