Chivas USA named Robin Fraser, an assistant coach with Real Salt Lake for four years, as its new head coach.

Fraser, 44, played 10 years in Major League Soccer and twice won the Defender of the Year award. He was also the Galaxy’s first pick in the 1996 player draft.

Last season, Chivas finished with a record of 8-18-4, the second-worst in MLS.
