One of the fun elements of the NHL’s Winter Classic is the time-lapse video the league does each time to detail how a football or baseball stadium is transformed into a home for hockey.

The NHL is also pretty proud of having the world’s largest mobile rink refrigeration unit, a custom-built 53-foot truck that houses the specialized equipment used to make the ice.

And while there is a lot of talk about rain come Saturday, as the next video points out, it’s not a problem yet.

The Kings’ Heidi Androl interviews the ice expert, Dan Craig, at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. The game between the Penguins and Washington Capitals is still set for 1 p.m. local time, or for us on the West Coast, 10 a.m.
