UCLA linebacker Akeem Ayers and free safety Rahim Moore, juniors who are pondering declaring early for the NFL draft, will seek information from the College Advisory Committee, which evaluates where players might be drafted.

Ayers has filled out paperwork for the committee, while Moore is in the process of doing so.

The two have until Jan. 15 to declare for the draft. They would have until Jan. 18 to withdraw from the draft and maintain their college eligibility provided they have not signed with an agent. Both Ayers and Moore said they are unlikely to make a decision before January.

Ayers and Moore are rated high in some mock drafts, but the CAC “is pretty conservative about where you might go,” Ayers said.

“Once I get the evaluation, I’ll talk it over with my family.”

Moore said the evaluation will help with his decision.

“I want to take some time for myself right now,“ Moore said. “Then my family and I will get all the information we can and will decide what will be best for me.”
