The Great Chicken Chili Cheese Fries Caper could have a happy ending after all.

UCLA freshmen Tyler Lamb and Anthony Stover have participated in warmups prior to the Bruins’ game against UC Davis tonight at Pauley Pavilion, and both seem quite mobile a day after being stricken by food poisoning in the wake of eating chicken chili cheese fries from an undisclosed Westwood establishment.

Lamb and Stover have smiled at times and appear to be feeling a lot better, meaning they probably will play against the Aggies after having sat out a light practice Sunday.

Bruins Coach Ben Howland wants to ban his players during the season from the place where Lamb and Stover ate the fries, but he acknowledged even that measure probably won’t alter the eating habits of college kids.

‘The things we enjoy the most,’ Howland said Sunday during a teleconference with reporters, ‘are not the most healthy things to eat.’
