The Angels, still in search of that marquee off-season addition, just acquired Ryan Braun.

No, not this Ryan Braun, the three-time All-Star outfielder from the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Angels signed this Ryan Braun, a right-handed relief pitcher, to a minor league contract. Braun, 30, had a 2.20 earned-run average in 52 games for triple-A Charlotte last season, with 61 strikeouts in 57 innings. In 204 career minor league games, all in relief, he has a 2.36 ERA and 282 strikeouts in 255 innings.

The Angels also re-signed first baseman-outfielder Paul McAnulty to a minor league contract. McAnulty, 29, hit .136 with one home run in 22 at-bats for the Angels last season. He is expected to provide depth at triple-A Salt Lake.
