World Series Game 5: Giants vs. Rangers inning-by-inning live updates

Giantsfans_600

It's do-or-die for the Texas Rangers as the San Francisco Giants take a 3-1 advantage into World Series Game 5 on Monday night at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

The game features a rematch of the teams' two pitching aces, Tim Lincecum for the Giants and Cliff Lee for the Rangers, as Texas tries to extend the best-of-seven-game series with a victory and send it back to San Francisco for Games 6 and 7, if necessary.

Lincecum and San Francisco prevailed in Game 1, 11-7, when Lee was roughed up for seven runs (six earned) in 4 2/3 innings of work.

The Giants' Pat Burrell, who struggled badly at the plate in the first three games and was benched Sunday, returns to the lineup as San Francisco's designated hitter.
