Linebacker Devon Kennard was the only USC player selected to the Pacific 10 Conference’s All-Academic football teams that were announced Tuesday.

Kennard, a sophomore communications major, was selected to the second team.

All other schools had at least three players selected to the teams, which required at least a 3.0 grade-point average.

Washington State had seven first-teamers, more than any other school. Stanford had the most combined picks with 11, including four first-teamers.

UCLA punter Jeff Locke and special teams player Danny Rees made the first team, defensive lineman Damien Holmes the second.

USC quarterback Matt Barkley and offensive linemen Khaled Holmes and Michael Reardon, and UCLA quarterback Kevin Prince and linebackers Mike Schmitt and Sean Westgate were honorable mention.
