UCLA basketball: Malcolm Lee expected to play against Villanova

UCLA-logo UCLA junior guard Malcolm Lee practiced Tuesday and is expected to play when the Bruins take on No. 7 Villanova at 6 p.m. PST Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in a semifinal of the NIT Season Tip-Off.

Lee has been sidelined since suffering a sprained left ankle early in the Bruins' game against Pepperdine on Nov. 15. He scored eight points and had four assists during UCLA's season-opening victory over Cal State Northridge.

Freshman guard Matt Carlino, sidelined since Nov. 8 by a concussion, traveled with the Bruins to New York, but his status remains uncertain.
