Pacquiao stays out of harm’s way, with a few more combinations for good measure.

The fight is over.

Pacquiao should win another decision at Cowboys Stadium.

The decision is in. Pacquiao wins by unanimous decision: 120-108, 118-110, 119-109.

In the ring afterward, Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach said he thought Margarito trainer Robert Garcia ‘probably ruined’ Margarito’s career by letting the bout continue. ‘I have a warrior,’ Garcia answered.

Pacquiao said he wanted referee Cole to stop the bout in the 11th. ‘I felt in my opponent’s eyes, his bloody face, [ref], ‘Take a look.’ In the 12th round, I was not looking for the knockout.’

Pacquiao said Margarito’s strength was proof this should be the ceiling of his move up in weight.

‘It was hard,’ he said. ‘I really did my best to win the fight. He’s strong. Taller than me. I can’t believe how strong.’

Pacquiao said there were times when he accepted punishment against the ropes that he was hurt. His conditioning coach, Alex Ariza, said this was the first bout in which his fighter got tired, something to consider in the future.

Pacquiao said he’ll ‘fight anyone, anywhere,’ including Floyd Mayweather Jr. should he surface.
