UCLA and USC will welcome the newest members of the Pacific 12 Conference to their basketball homes for the first time in January 2012, according to the conference schedules released Thursday.

UCLA will play host to Utah on Jan. 26, 2012, at Pauley Pavilion, while USC plays host to Colorado on the same day at the Galen Center. Utah then plays at USC two days later, with Colorado playing at UCLA.

While USC and UCLA will continue to play each other and six other conference opponents twice a year under the new 18-game conference schedule, they will also play four opponents on a single-game basis -- two games at home and two away. The single-play opponents will rotate every two years. [FOR THE RECORD, 11:21 p.m.: An earlier version said USC and UCLA will continue to play five other conference opponents. Six is correct.]

During the 2011-12 season, UCLA and USC will not play host to Oregon or Oregon State and will not travel to Utah or Colorado.

The women’s conference schedule mirrors the men’s schedule.
