UCLA wide receiver Nelson Rosario and cornerback Sheldon Price did not make the trip to Eugene for the Bruins’ game against Oregon on Thursday.

Rosario has a high ankle sprain and Price a sprained knee. The loss of Price leaves UCLA with only three healthy cornerbacks -- Andrew Abbott, Aaron Hester and Courtney Viney.

“We have Andrew, Courtney and Aaron, and we have some emergencies plans,” Coach Rick Neuheisel said.

Those emergency plans involve tapping the Bruins’ depth at the two safety spots. Free safety Rahim Moore and strong safety Tony Dye worked out at cornerback the past week. Free safety Dalton Hilliard and strong safety Dietrich Riley, the backups, have both had strong seasons.

Meanwhile, starting quarterback Kevin Prince is expected to test his injured right knee during warm-ups before the Bruins decide if he can play. If he can’t, Richard Brehaut will start.
