TJ Lavin seriously injured at Dew Tour competition in Las Vegas

BMX dirt rider TJ Lavin was seriously injured during qualifying at the Dew Tour Championships in Las Vegas on Thursday night, espn.com is reporting. Lavin, 33, is currently in critical condition in University Medical Center.

Lavin was attempting a nac nac combination and failed to get his feet back on the pedals upon landing. He was thrown from the bike and knocked unconscious. Lavin additionally suffered a shattered right wrist and broken ribs.

In addition to competing on the Dew Tour, Lavin has hosted 10 seasons of MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge.
