Rose Bowl game to be presented by Vizio for next four years

Bowl_300The Rose Bowl game has a new presenting sponsor -- Vizio Inc.

In a sponsorship deal that runs from 2011 to 2014, the game will be known as the Rose Bowl Game presented by Vizio.

The deal, which will be announced officially Wednesday, also includes the sponsorship of the 2014 BCS championship game, which will be held at the Rose Bowl and known as the 2014 Vizio BCS National Championship Game.

“The Rose Bowl game by itself is an incredible pull,” said Randy Waynick,  chief sales officerof the Irvine-based HDTV and consumer electronics company. “The fact that it's going to be the BCS game is icing on the cake.”

With ESPN taking over coverage rights of the BCS series, all title sponsorships were up for renewal. Citi delinced to continue the presenting sponsorship it has held since 2004.
